She says the Outlook mailing label shows up as "D'ADDARIO", but throughout the Member Services Database, she is listed as "Daddario". This looks like a problem with the code handling the conversion of the data from the database to HTML -- or perhaps a problem in the conversion from the "live" database (presumably used to run the Outlook labels) to the copy that is actually used for the MSD. Does anyone else have a member with a name like that (e.g. "O'Brian"). Are you seeing the same problem? I'd like to confirm that it's a more general problem before reporting it. It was probably four or five years ago that I asked "them" about a branch president who couldn't get set up with an ID in the MSD. It didn't seem to recognize apostrophes as part of a name - she'd put in her name, but the search reported that there was nobody with the last name "O'" or "O" (I don't remember which). At that point whoever I had reached said she'd temporarily take the apostrophe out to list it. I just checked the database - the apostrophe is still in there. Unfortunately, the affected person is now ill so I don't want to bother her with stuff like this - and I don't think she ever completely followed up and got into the system. The most recent label file for our state newsletter includes the name correctly spelled with the apostrophe. Since Ms D'Addario knows what it looks like in the MSD it sounds like she has been set up for access - does she recall any trouble getting set up for it in the first place? -----Original Message----- From: webm...@aauw.org [mailto:webm...@aauw.org] On Behalf Of web managers digest Sent: Thursday, June 23, 2011 1:00 AM To: webmgrs digest recipients Subject: webmgrs digest: June 22, 2011 WEBMGRS Digest for Wednesday, June 22, 2011. 1.
