Hi
I have application with a component that uses
WOQuickTime to vend a movie from a file stored in the Webserver.
The file is identified by a string in the app which
gives a location relative to the Document root.
Once deployed (I deploy the development .woa), I go
to monitor and open the local network "Host - Port" version of the app, and when
I open the page with the movie, it appears as expected. However, when I
link to the app remotely, i.e in the normal way using the domain name etc., when
I open the page with the movie, I only see the QuickTime icon!
I do not understand why this is occurring, and
assumed it to be to do with permissions or file location. I do not get any
indication that the file is not found!
I am running the deployment on Panther 10.3.9
(worried about upgrading to Tiger Server and Wo apps failing!); monitor and
wotaskd are running as root (at least the /Systems/Library/WebObjects/WebObjects
script has the appserver lines commented out ). The deployed application
files are owned by "admin" and in the "admin" group.
Can anybody confirm if they vend quicktime with no
difficulties. Also what should be permissions etc.
