Hi.

We got a new Xserve (Intel 2GHz) today and I have not the issue a couple of people described earlier on the list - that on startup my applications are not started correctly. After quitting JavaMonitor and wotaskd once and let them get restarted by launchd, everything is fine.

It seems that it has some problems finding the IP address.

I read a couple of threads about that but haven't found a definite solution - is there one? Has someone a working solution for that or is it just better to use the plain old StartupItem for WebObjects?

Btw: how do you guys start PostgreSQL on Mac OS X Server? launchd seems to be a pretty bad ideas as it does not handle a correct shutdown of the server ...

cug
