Penn State's Outreach unit is in the process of trying to fill a WebObjects developer position. This candidate would join a team of three existing WO programmers, and be part of a larger WO development community in Penn State Outreach. We have a number of business-critical WO apps that are out in production, and WO/Java are core technologies for new development. The position will be filled at either a level 2 or 3, depending on the successful candidate's ability to manage larger scale projects and lead other developers. While this is a fixed-term position, that does not mean that it is just a hire for the duration of a research project or some such thing. Fixed- term is a common contract type at the University. The projects that this programmer will be involved with are both mature, enterprise applications, and new development to meet University needs.
