Yes, you really should do that. DirectConnect is a crutch that
will just delay finding problems.
While I don't really disagree because I trust you on that, I never
had real trouble using DirectConnect and then seeing problems in
deployment I haven't seen in DC. Might be that I didn't do the
problematic stuff ...
Since a long time, I mostly use WebServer connect, but not all the
time - sometimes I want to step through something and still be able
to continue in the browser without a timeout after 30 seconds.
