Edit /System/Library/WebObjects/Adaptors/Apache/apache.conf
The following is example option:
<snip>
## Custom adaptor options
WebObjectsOptions redir=/systemupdating.html
</snip>
The above redirects to a page /systemupdating.html instead of the
application not found message.
