... with basically zero explanation. Is there some security reason
for separating logic and resources?
These are performance suggestions.
Why is OS X Server a must?
It's not. Any OS capable of running java will work. The assumption
above is that Mac OS X is a client OS for the desktop.
Again the above is aimed at deployment enrironments + performance.
