FYI, I have the same problem with the WO adaptor on CentOS 5.2 64 bit.

If I look in Apache's error.log I see an entry that corresponds to
my request that looks like this:
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption:
0x000000000069be80 ***
[Sun Sep 28 13:55:41 2008] [notice] child pid 23031 exit signal
Aborted (6)
Are you using 32 or 64 bit?
Is it generating a core file?
If anyone has any ideas what might be causing this, please let me
know as I've been tearing my hair out over it for the past two days.
