Hi Miguel,

I'm not sure this is what you're asking, but I *think* that if the incoming URL has the WO Instance Number in it, the WO HTTP adaptor will forward the request to the application instance regardless of whether it is refusing new sessions or not.

Regards

Peter

Hi!

Something weird just happened to us. We have an app with several instances. We deployed a new version (on a different path, embedded frameworks, etc). We adjusted the paths, and launched new instances with the new version, and set the running instances of the old version to refuse new sessions.

A few minutes later, we started getting "no instance available" errors. Everything appeared to be fine, and accessing the app instances URL directly (with the instance number) worked, so the apps were ok.

The only way to get back on track was to kill the instances that were set to refuse new sessions.

Apparently, on a quick diagnosis, the load balancer was erroneously sending connections to the instances that were refusing new sessions, and they would not accept them.

Any idea why this was happening? Is this a known bug? Misconfiguration?

 Yours
