We're having issues with our WebObjects configuration, which is WebObjects 5.2.4, Solaris 8, Apache 1.3 with an Oracle back end. It appears that WebObjects is opening connections to the backend. We simulated connections with 300 users, it had opened 9000 connections. There were also many java processes running on each. We are aware that there is an issue with WebObjects generating a lot of close-waits but is this a bug with a specific version of WebObjects and/or Apache? We are going to upgrade to WebObjects 5.4, Solaris 10 and Apache 2/2.2 - will this upgrade resolve this issue?
