I don't know Tony. Never had a reason to do this. The Apple deploy docs info on adaptors may help:

Thx Kieran. Just to checkout one last point. In such configuration do we need more than one webserver to be configured (ie, one for each wotaskd instance/ configuration file).

Keep messages on the list please.

Setting up multiple launchd tasks is just an obvious suggestion. personally I don't run multiple wotaskds ... I have not had the need to do it.

I would expect that copying the current launchd files, renaming them and also renaming the task name in each file should work.

Thank you Kieran for your response, yes, I am new to all webobjects stuff. I try to use /System/Library/LaunchDaemons to create second instances of wotaskd and WOMonitor. How that be done and there is already the first instances of wotaskd and WOMonitor. Do I create them by different names? Then how could I get then their own folders with properties file for their own parameters. I tried to follow the documentation but I couldn’t find specific information about that. I appreciate any clarification. Tony,

Did you try creating a LaunchDaemon file for the second instances of wotaskd and WOMonitor?

See /Library/LaunchDaemons contents and if you are new to launchdaemons, you can learn about it with

$ man launchctl

Hello. I am running two “wotaskd” and two ” JavaMonitor” for webobject 5.4/ Mc OS X Server . Every time when rebooting the server I have to start up manually the second wotaskd. What is the required setup to get both wotaskd started automatically. How to get a second properties file for the second wotaskd so I can set its parameters? I really appreciate any help. Thank you.
