Yes, I remember those days too, although things have a long way since
then. Sun generally don't use GCC to build anything on solaris,
haven't checked what they build OpenSolaris with recently, but it used
to be SunPro CC as well.
The WO Adaptor on solaris builds fine with both SunPro CC and GCC, but
it's best not to mix and match compilers so you should use whatever
apache was built with.
