1) I am deploying fully embedded WO 5.3.3/java 1.5/ OS X 10.5 on a new server (which has had SL server OS replaced with SL client OS) ....... is there any gotchas/caveats about running that on the standard SL 1.6 installation or do I need to install java 1.5 on Snow Leopard. I noticed that all versions after java 1.4 point to 1.6.0 on SL, so I guess that is an implied compatability statement?

I am not using 1.6 yet (or I don't think so, still on Leotard). AFAIK, there are no problems with 1.6 -- according to those who should know.

2) vulcan:Versions admin$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_17"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04-248-10M3025)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.3-b01-101, mixed mode)

Hmmm "64-bit Server VM" on SL Client OS.

Does this mean I can allocate 3GB or more of RAM to my java 1.5 app?

Is this that MySquirrel memory leak problem? :-P
