WO integrates with OpenBase out of box.
Developer installation (on Mac) even installs limited version of OpenBase on your computer.
Review your Applications folder for OpenBase admin tools. These tools are rather intuitive and do not require special discussion for most tasks.
I don't know the limitations of that developer version. I had my site working on one for some time before I moved it to MySQL.
Full version is not free. For commercial prices you may visit their website.

As for MySQL. It also works fine, but first you should download and install jdbc driver. For instructions:

Nothing else needed if you do not need to use unicode national characters in your applications.
If you do - contact me for additional setup instructions.

I’m working on my first WO project.  I’ve been trying to get it to work with PostgreSQL for some time because I believe it to be a great RDBMS, but continue to have problems.  One step forward, one step back, etc.  I’ve tried to use Project Wonder to solve these issues, but continue to have problems...  I’m getting fed up!

Can anyone tell me what databases they use and whether perhaps MySQL would be a better database to go with?  Are there any databases that WO integrates with perfectly out of the box!?  Is MySQL one of these databases?

I’d greatly appreciate your feedback and any experiences that you might care to share.

Cheers!
