Although there are many references to Java clients on the following sentences, this one clearly refers to "deploy application programs developed using Apple’s WebObjects Software". An web application is an application program developed using Apple's WebObjects Software, so...

Again, I'm not a lawyer, and my main language is Portuguese, but this is what I understand from the license.
