Hello Chuck;
Just paused a regular WOA to see the trace and yes you appear to be
right. I thought the run loop would no longer be there after the
move from WO 4 to 5, but indeed the WOTimer is fired from the run
loop and yes the servlet environment doesn't appear to be run
looping. Oh well, despite requiring liberal quantities of code, the
java Timer can substitute.
cheers
I'm having a bit of trouble with my WOTimers not firing under WO
5.2 when my WOA is deployed into a servlet container (tomcat) --
has anybody else experienced issues with WOTimers and servlet
deploy or has even had some luck with this combination?
...
An avenue for investigation: I recall, but can't find a reference
to it, that WOTimer depends on the run loop to work. It may be
that in servlet container mode that the run loop is not running as
it is in a standard WO deployment.
