I started my install project all over and went with the basics that I know should work - Xcode 2.0 and WebObjects 5.2.4. Everything installs fine, but when I try to run my app (which at the moment is a completely empty new project) I get an error that my license key is for the wrong version. This is absolutely true, as it's a 5.3 key.

I wanted to stick with 5.2.4 for it's relatively low level of bugs (compared to 5.3, anyway) because I'm just learning this stuff and I don't need to be worrying over which bugs are mine and which are Apple's. It's beginning to look, however, like that will be impossible. The only way I know to get a 5.2 key is to buy one from Apple, and $699 seems rather steep for a learning environment.

Is there any way I can get this to work? Anyone from Apple who can generate a 5.2 key for me? I don't need deployment; it can be as restricted as you like, as long as my practice apps will run.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

janine
