| The mySQL version was upgraded from 4.1.18 to 4.1.19. Now it appears that instead of a String being returned (from a BLOB in the database) it is returning a reference to the BLOB, or the first part of the BLOB itself as below.. Anyone know how to solve this?

A long text block that is stored as a blob is now showing as:

This applies to all blobs. I know it's probably a connector/j issue or something, or perhaps some modification is required to the database itself. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before I go trying every possible avenue.
