Hi, Marc,

I'm going to use some of the time over this long weekend to peruse the WO Deployment manual again.

I was hoping some WO biased network expert would respond with a neat list of all the possible hostname parameters used by the system along with which ones affect what and how to set the whole kit and caboodle in some friendly compatible way so I don't have to keep restarting wotaskd or Apache every time I reconfigure my laptop's network.

Gary Teter once provided a fairly complete set of instructions, but having set things up the way he suggested, the next Mac OS X update broke that carefully crafted set of black magic.

Have a great weekend.

Regards,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

I started running into this recently when I went from dev to deployment. The issue seems to be with wotaskd that it cannot see the application so when you connect, wotaskd returns that the instance is not available. I ran into with a long running request that required me to add a long response page. Other than that, restarting apache seems to fix it.

I like Chuck's suggestion of launching "the app with - DWOHost=localhost _and_ I launch wotaskd with this also".

Hope this helps. Have a good 4th!
Marc

Hi, guys,

I've been running in development mode for weeks with no problems. I've been running "-WODirectConnectEnabled NO" for several months. Today, when trying to test my app, I got a "No instance available" message.
