That is just the number at the conference. Most developers are too busy; or don't think it is worth their time to go. Really, how many sessions are about WO? So I would guess, there must be between 2,000 and 10,000 WO developers worldwide. One could argue that, therefore, a WWWODC could potentially draw a much larger crowd.
