Not sure which plugins you have tried - but there are some very cool plugins for Eclipse that we have been using. I currently have the following plugins loaded and working very nicely:
* Subclipse - Subversion integration into Eclipse * JAD - Java decompiler - great for browsing class files * J2EE standard tools/WST - great for working with web services * Data tools - database browsing * WOLips - of course I have also run Oxygen XML editor as an Eclipse plugin and had a regex plugin that worked very nicely. The challenge with many of the plugins is making sure that all of the right dependencies are in place - WOLips does a better than average job in doing this.
