What that means is that finalize was called on an editing context in the Finalizer thread of the JVM, but another thread has the EC locked. That other thread is usually a WOWorkerThread. What that means is that, while processing a request, the worker thread locked the ec but did not lock it. And usually :-) that means that you are missing a try...finally block to unlock the EC.
