Hi,

just found this:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305009

...

If you are updating Mac OS X WebObjects 5.3.1 or 5.3.2 on Mac OS X 10.4 Server

Install the software in the following order:

Install the WebObjects DST Update through Software Update.
Upgrade the current version of Java to Java for Mac OS X 10.4 Release 5.

When launching software update on 10.4.8 intel server, the java update loads, but the WebObjects update does not even appear. I manually loaded the 5.3.3 update after software update already had loaded the Java update. The installer didn't complain and seemed to load the update normally. Should I be concerned that these were not loaded in the proper order, or is this normal on an Intel OS X server install?

TIA

On the page above, have you followed the links to download the updates for Java and for WebObjects? I have not, yet. I am only going to download these when I have time to test them. The question of whether these show up in Software Update is different from the question of whether one can download and apply the update.

Also, I am going to use the "softwareupdate" tool to download them, so that they do not get installed automatically.

Also, I am going to look at the contents of the Archives.bom (see man page for lsbom) and confirm that they are not overwriting each other.

Also, I am going to make backup copies of my zoneinfo files and the WebObjects frameworks first.

And I am going to run all my junit tests before and after the installations.

But that's just me. YMMV.
