To clarify here, I'm not against jass. I'm only against it's lack of nice integration with Eclipse. I think you should learn Eclipse au natural and then make a decision as to whether or not jass is worth adding. Coming from Xcode you have not yet experienced the eclipse way of doing things, and it's really worth working in that style for a little while first.

This is true. We (all of use at GVC) are all eagerly looking forward to Java 1.6 so that we can abandon this archaic Jass and move to ModernJass. ModernJass uses annotations and so fits in much, much more nicely with the whole Eclipse continuous build model. We have already tried Contract4J, but it was too slow at runtime.
