I did this using apache commons HttpClient.
- I first fetch the login page
- Then I exctract the post URL and field names
- Finally I perform a simple post request to log in
Your direct action solution seems to be better :o)

Hi all,
I've created a small app that logs on the WOStat page of each instance
of our app in order to extract data for reporting.
This works fine but the problem is that each time the app logs in, a
new session is created.
Is there a way (maybe through a http parameter) to properly disconnect
and drop the session ?
How are you doing this? If it can log in, can it not log out too?
Personally, I would write a direct action that return the
WOApplication.application().statisticsStore().statistics() and deal
with the dictionary rather than with HTML. No need to create a session
for that.
