Hi Mark,

A technical note - you probably don't want your page title to be variable, as it is a part of the page URL and hence it is bookmarkable (while Confluence allows you to rename pages, you should only do that if absolutely necessary).

So maybe mark up the non-existent content in a Wiki way - by creating a link to it from an existing page? This will result in a link with a different color and a "+" sign clearly indicating that the page in question still needs to be created.
