Thanks Daniele and Jean-François,seems that I have to rethink part of my approach though I will continue to use both techniques (string file and db based) as the one is simpler for constant strings (perhaps also better performance) and the latter one appropriate for user changeable (and instantly available) strings.
That's a great idea to have a general component level function to alter the invocation of the entity attribute. Unfortunately I couldn't find the post you mention so I would appreciate if you could send me a copy.
