IIRC, ERXPatcher in ERXExtensions substitutes in ERXGenericRecord as the class to load when the JVM gets told to load EOGenericRecord.

If you mean by this that classes which subclass EOGenericRecord are automatically patched to subclass ERXGenericRecord instead, are you sure this actually happens, or did you mean something different?

Actually looking at the Wonder source, it is not patched in at all by ERXPatcher. ERXGenericRecord seems to be substitued for entities declared as EOGenericRecord in the eomodel by default, unless otherwise set in Properties file.

My "IIRC" was NRC (Not Recalled Correctly)!

So Wonder source indicates that your custom EO's must subclass ERXGenericRecord to get ERXGenericRecord functionality.
