No, I'm not - I haven't looked at the FrontBase Plugin too much, but it looked pretty similar to the PostgreSQL, just all in one file.
But okay - if it works for you: good. It doesn't for the stuff, Apple provided in the docs until 5.3, so it is a bit "interesting" that deprecating method and not calling it anymore is one step.
