I'm following this, so making notes as I go along:

Step 2. For those of us just getting started this page will help:
http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WOL/Install+WOLips+with+Eclipse+Update+Manager

Step 3. The directory is dist/selfcontained (what is the legacy version? It looks to be the same)
mkdir /Developer/Applications/eogenerator
cp -r dist/selfcontained/JavaEOGenerator.woa /Developer/Applications/ eogenerator
cp -r Templates /Developer/Applications/eogenerator

Rather than step 4, I'd recommend following the readme included with the java generator. (pretty pictures, more info about command line usage etc)

Step 6:
curl "http://webobjects.mdimension.com/wonder/Wonder-latest-Frameworks-54.tar.gz " > wonder.tgz
gnutar zxf wonder.tgz
cp -r *.framework /Library/Frameworks

Step 5 (6 & 5 are out of sequence) perhaps this is a good place:
http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WOL/Create+a+new+WO+Application

Now I am off and running...(I think)

Thanks Amedeo!

Hello, I'm reading and rereading this mailing list there days, there are a lot of problem caused by WO 5.3 -> WO 5.4 switch combinen with Tiger to Leopard Switch.

I wold like to start a topic for helping all us creating a step by step procedure to obtain a development enviroment that simply works.

In my personal experience.

I'm working on Leopard 10.5.1

1) Installed Eclipse 3.3.1.1 downloading it from www.eclipse.org

2) Installed the latest nightly build of WOLips (3.3.4652) using the Find and installa feaure of wolips and setting this source for WOLips ( http://webobjects.mdimension.com/wolips/nightly/site.xml )

3) downloaded from Apple the JavaEOGenerator

http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/JavaEOGenerator/JavaEOGenerator.zip

unzip it, open terminal, cd into the unzipped directory then type "ant". pick up the javaEOGenerator.woa inside the now created folder dist / standalone and put it where you like.

I personally putted them into /Developer/Applications/eogenerator/

copy also the folder Tempates in and put it in the same dir of javaEOGenerator.woa

4) configure WOLips for use of javaeogen:

Preferences / EOGenerator:

EOGenerator executable path: /Developer/Applications/eogenerator/ JavaEOGenerator.woa/JavaEOGenerator

EOGenerator Template Folder: /Developer/Applications/eogenerator/ Templates

EOGenerator Java template: JavaSourceEOF52.eotemplate

EOGenerator subclass Java template: JavaSubclassSourceEOF5.eotemplate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) TRY IT
