I had changed the location to tmp, reverted it back now, and checked the Logs folder. Gave write permission to world, restarted apache (sudo apachectl restart), touched the File, restarted apache --> nothing.

I did not need to change the permissions on /Library/WebObjects/Logs for WebObjects.log to be written in that directory.

I just ge no output at all in there.

To have /Library/WebObjects/Logs/WebObjects.log written, I had to uncomment the

# WebObjectsLog /Library/WebObjects/Logs/WebObjects.log Debug

entry in /System/Library/WebObjects/Adaptors/Apache2.2/apache.conf. If I didn't do that, WebObjects.log was not written.

Then after creating /tmp/logWebObjects, I had to restart Apache. I don't believe that this was necessary prior to WO 5.4, but I'm not 100% certain.

Art
