I'll file this, but wanted to be sure I didn't misunderstand the format.
About the only description I can find of the 'ascii' format of Apple's
plist is:

Therein is an example of dictionary text that should parse to a
NSDictionary, namely:
{
AnimalSmells = { pig = piggish; lamb = lambish; worm = wormy; };
AnimalSounds = { pig = oink; lamb = baa; worm = baa;
Lisa = "Why is the worm talking like a lamb?"; }
AnimalColors = { pig = pink; lamb = black; worm = pink; }
}
However, NSPropertyListSerialization.dictionaryForString fails to
parse it.
If semi-colons are appended to the 4th and 5th lines, all is well, ie:
{
AnimalSmells = { pig = piggish; lamb = lambish; worm = wormy; };
AnimalSounds = { pig = oink; lamb = baa; worm = baa;
Lisa = "Why is the worm talking like a
lamb?"; }; <===
AnimalColors = { pig = pink; lamb = black; worm = pink; }; <===
}
I believe the documentation is in error, and that the WebObjects
parser is correct ... Gavin
