For development purposes it is not necessary to install a framework in order to use it in another project. Provided the framework is an open project in your workspace you can just add the framework's project to the build path of your application in the [Build Path -> Configure Build Path... :: Projects] tab. Just make sure that if you do this you do not also include an installed version of the framework using the "WebObjects Frameworks" library or you will end up with two versions of the same framework and WO will complain about it.

I don't think so. I always have both and it "just works". You need the installed version there so that the classpath is correct for the deployable build.

Hi Chuck -

We only have our frameworks under the buildpath and we have no problems with the deployable build. We had some problems when having frameworks linked in both ways, but i can't remember what they were.

We actually have frameworks that we have created linked under buildpath, but frameworks that we use pre-built versions of (like the wonder frameworks) are linked the other way. Even with a mix like that the deployable builds work fine.

Simon
