Mike,I haven't used this code in ages. Reading the code, it however appears that the filtered array is turned into a fault each time the it is accessed.
This code was used in a dynamic data modeling application where practically all entities had periods of validity. To see the state of the graph at a given point in time, one would set the desired date on an editing context subclass. From then on all relationships would automatically be filtered and thus large parts of the code could just ignore the whole date thing.
