On my main component I am making sure not to have any component
actions bound, but I have found that using WOActionURL to get the
url to a direct action seems to be causing a new session to be
created.
This is the binding:
<form method="post" action="<webobject name=loginURL></webobject>">
loginURL: WOActionURL {
directActionName = "login";
}
And this is the html produced:
<form method="post" action="/WebObjects/TrackLog.woa/wa/login?

Is this a known bug or am I missing something obvious?

"WOActionURL enables the creation of URLs to invoke methods or specify
pages to return. You can use this element for a variety of purposes,
but it is primarily intended to support JavaScript within a WebObjects
application."
I believe you want WOHyperlink.
