I just looked into some FB documentation, and I can find no references to "WRITE DATA". I also can not find it in a the SQL reference I use. So, I think you might be on a false track here...

I suggest writing to the FrontBase list, since you are not getting any answers here, that might provide better results.

Or, if you are doing WO, maybe you could shift the export / import procedure to the WO level? Though I guess that would defeat the purpose of "keeping things simple" :)
