When you say you "Installed" Wonder, I believe what the binary installer does is simply put the Wonder frameworks in the right locations on your hard drive.

You still need to add them to your build path before you can actually use them. Once you add the ERPrototypes and any other frameworks ERPrototypes depends upon (ERExtensions, etc) to your build path then you should get prototypes available for selection.

See here for instructions:

The problem i am having is that there is no prototype list to select from when mainting the database config in EO Modeler. I have tried adding the source folder for the wonder jar files and still i get no list, as well as error "ERXApplication cannot be resolved to a type"

Hi Florijan
I did originally install project wonder with the binary download which includes wonder. I also add the source file for wonder to my project, however i still get the error that the erx components cannot be found.

Thanks

Marcus,

WOLips does not contain any prototypes. You need either your own prototypes model, or entity, or Wonder stuff (the ERPrototypes framework) in the classpath of the project, or in the project itself.

Here's more or less what you need to do, assuming you want to use Wonder prototypes:

1. Install Eclipse / WOLips
2. Download and install Project Wonder, or check out it's Subversion repository
3. Add ERPrototypes.framework to the class path of your project
4. In the Database Config of your EO model select the appropriate prototype
5. You're good.

Depending on other aspects of your setup (wonder, no wonder, WO version...) you might need to do additional work to get things running.
