I've never seen it do anything. I was a little puzzled why you included it in Entity Modeler. AFAIK, it is just legacy cruft that got abandoned when someone left the team.


the only plugin that seems to consider timezones at all is the FrontBasePlugIn when you set external type to "TIME WITH TIME ZONE" or "TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE" where it APPEARS (skimming the code) that they negatively adjust for timezone, I think setting the database value to GMT? (could be reading that wrong, it's sort of dense and I'm not reading it carefully)


Last I heard from Geert, he strongly recommended to NOT use these types with WO.
