Yes. I've attached a (slightly modified) version of Mike's templates as linked to from the wiki.

I can only recommend against using modified templates until you REALLY know what you're doing.

I don't want to update the rest of my code to additionally check for NoSuchElementException et al rather than usual WO EOObjectNotAvailable, EOUtilities.MoreThanOneException and so forth. The one's I attached restore that normal behaviour by making use or ERXEOControlUtilities etc and so automatically pick up any optimisations made there rather than duplicating those. Mike's already mentioned in the past that his templates are as they are for legacy reasons with his own code base.

It's a pain in the ass to change them whenever something in Wonder / WO changes or you stumble over something cool.

Just a simple diff. But sure - whatever works for you.

Personally I use the templates that ship with WOLips (I use the Wonder templates) - whenever Mike comes up with some new cool idea I automatically have it with the next WOLips update. And whenever someone has an idea that should be in the templates, it can be discussed here.

I'd recommend against that approach actually (and I believe Mike does too) - because you might update WOLips one day and break your code. I suppose that depends on your approach to when you update WOLips. Certainly keep an eye out for new things from time to time.

Most additional features I need are in a common superclass of my EOs.

Sure.
