While this can be a funny read... (and it's been pointed to in the past) it's really misleading. It's like assuming that everyone's creating bytecode directly and needs to understand bytecode in order to program a Java application, or assembly rather than C, which is a nonsense line of argument.

So just to balance the argument ... It certainly has its warts, but it certainly not that bad. Likewise the suggestion that there are any number of combination of versions available seems to be an exaggeration.
