There is a slight hitch with this - The ajax request to switch tabs
will still render the tabs that are not even visible. So if those
tabs take a long time to render, it's a pain.
I'm pretty sure one of our, err, I mean one of the engineers at K12
wrote a patch that solved that issue. I'll see if anybody knows what
happened to it and if it's safe/general enough to contribute back.
