Hello everyone,
Based on usage statistics and feedback that we got, we want to do
major changes to wocommunity.org. We got 12 205 visits between May
2008 and May 2009, so the site IS useful and we want to make it even
more useful.
Things we want to add :
- Upload your own podcast. You will be able to upload your own
podcast in the community directory, no need to wait after me anymore :-)
- Jobs posting. Again, you will be able to add and manage your job
posting without having to wait after me.
- News submission. Got a new app to show? Won an award? Send us some
news and we will add it to the front page, the blog and Twitter.
- French, German and Japanese translations. Based on statistics,
after English those are the prefered languages. Want to translate the
site to another language? No problem.
- Profiles. We want to add profiles, somewhat like Apple do
http://www.apple.com/business/profiles/
Our profiles would be shorter than Apple ones, but you get the
idea.
So we need a little help! We are looking for :
- Designers. It's time to bring more BANG to the site, so if you have
good Web design skills (I don't), send us your ideas.
- Translators. Vous parlez français? Sprechen sie deutsch? Help us
translate the most popular pages of the site.
- Writers. We need people to help out to write the profiles and some
content of the site.
So if you want to help, drop me an email. We hope to make
wocommunity.org the place to be for people new to WO and the old guard
too.
