Hi All -

i found the post below which is from late 2007 and i have almost
exactly the same problem (the only difference being that our servers
do have domain names)

Unfortunately nobody replied to the original post :-(

Anyone got any ideas on what is wrong with monitor?

Thanks, Simon

HI --

Trying to add a new host to my pair of webobjects servers - Mac OS X
Server 10.4.10, on an new Intel XServe.

When I try to add the host in monitor (which runs off a different host), I get:

Application: JavaMonitor
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
Reason:
Stack trace:
File Line# Method Package
NA : Non applicable, JIT activated

I've added hosts in the past, and I've never run across this before.
This machine is a fresh install, and wotaskd is running on it and port
1085 is open. The host I'm adding does NOT have a domain name right
now, so I'm just adding the IP address.

The other odd thing I've noticed is that Java Monitor isn't showing
the IP addresses under the host names for my other hosts -- it used to
show that, now it just says"Unknown". Otherwise, though, Monitor is
working fine, and my other two hosts are serving apps fine.

Anybody ever seen this one?

TIA

Chris
