BTW, I checked the many places in this app where ec's are manually locked to make sure they were all of the try/catch finally unlock code construct. Not a single place in code where a manual EC lock is not unlocked in a finally.

er.extensions.ERXEC.traceOpenLocks=true

Is that going to catch hanging OSC locks? This looked like the OSC was left locked, not just an EC.
