Do you _need_ to be? I think I have some template-less components. WO whines in the log, but they seem to work. You could try overriding template() and returning null.

Ah, no. Should I be? WOComponent. I started by looking at what ERXStyleSheet does, just because I figured that was doing close to what I wanted—generating a HTML 'link' element in the header. It extends WOComponent (through some other classes), but AFAICS has no HTML template. (It's not that I think ERXStyleSheet is the final arbiter on what's right here, just that that's where I started.)
