  I recently upgraded to an HDTV Bravia and fiber connection with HD TV 
channels. I can see the actors skin cells now! :D

  But yes, I still remember the B&W TV and VHF/UHF reception. There was a 
button in the back of the TV that controlled the vsync (if you didn't get it 
right, the image would be scrolling up or down). I loved to tune it to the 
point where the image would be cut in half and the black separation bar hanging 
there right in the center of the screen.

  Yes, that's what I did while normal kids were dating, talking about cars and 
football.
