We're not using Solaris.  We thought about it way back and gave up on it when 
Apple stopped officially supporting Windows and Solaris. Skip Levens patiently 
listened to my griping about it back then at WWDC.

Yup.  Our users primarily interact with their own data so we talk to the 
database a lot. Our app does not have multiple database stacks so we run lots 
of instances.
