I don't think I'm doing anything unusual (or anything I have don't a lot in the
past at least). I have an entity that uses single table inheritance and I'm
getting a validation error when attempting to save a new object that I really
don't understand.
Here is my validation method:
public String validateTitle(String value) throws ERXValidationException
{
System.out.println("Value for title: " + title());
System.out.println("Value for value: " + value);
if(ERXStringUtilities.stringIsNullOrEmpty(value)) {
throw
ERXValidationFactory.defaultFactory().createException(this, TITLE_KEY, value,
ERXValidationException.NullPropertyException);
}
return value;
}
Here is the output in the console:
Value for title: test
Value for value: null
Does that ring any bells for somebody (please)?
