Since the Gouverneur don't do their "Stay at the Hotel" promo anymore, and they
raised their prices again, I looked for alternatives, and I found the ITHQ
Hotel:

The ITHQ is our culinary/tourism school (one of the best in the world), and
unknown to me, they also have a hotel (42 rooms) and conference rooms. So I
made my choice, and WOWODC 2012 will be there. Rate is $139 CAD for a regular
room (single occupancy), and they are really nice rooms. But what's the best
thing? It's right on St-Denis Street!! But I think I will notice all the pubs
to reject WOWODC people when we have the presentations to make sure that
everyone attends the presentations :-P
About the WOWODC ticket price, since the provincial sales tax is going up
(again) in January, and it look I had to charge taxes, the ticket price will be
$480 instead of $465. Group pricing will be available again this year, and
members of the Community Program will also get a discount.
So if your boss is asking you what you need for your 2012 training budget, you
have everything you need to reply to your boss :-)
