It sounds like you're using an edit boolean component on a list page. If that's 
the case, you need to change it to a display boolean.  You may have created a 
rule that is too broad like 

entity.name = "Blah" and propertyKey = "thing" => componentName = EditBoolean

Where you need to either use the pageConfiguration or task on the LHS side too.
